Unknown to Yourself: An Astounding Emotional Dilemma

Teenagers are very complicated. They are always going through a dilemma but what we fail to understand is that their emotions today prepare them for the future.

Teenagers are always in a dilemma. Have you ever wondered why the teenage years are complicated? A rush of unidentified feelings run through you. Your heart is like a volcano exploding indecipherable emotions all at the same time. It gets increasingly hard when you know who are, and then at the next moment, you do not know. You are in this relentless strain of figuring out your beliefs and opinions. You are in this body of an almost adult and a clueless soul searching for answers to the unexplored. Hopelessly falling in love with fictional characters and pondering if they truly exist. What madness is it?

dilemma

You are in this bubble of a dilemma of understanding your adults, the aspects of how the world is, and how it should be.

Well, there is probably more to it than what it is. The social media pressurizes to be the best at what you do. It burdens you with a load of talent. It makes you feel like shit. You forget how important you are. The insecurities and intimidations drive you crazy. No matter how much pep talk you hear about love, you never realize that you are enough.

While trying to be perfect on social media, you inadvertently suppress your imperfections, sorrows, and loneliness. You give in to the power of overthinking. You get blindfolded by the measure of competition, the pace at which the world moves, and the rate race that you forget to acknowledge yourself. You deal with the complexities of love, life, fantasies, and reality. Not being comfortable in your body or not liking the way you look when you see yourself in the mirror could be your worst nightmare.

Probably, there has to be a little hope. It is not easy to break out of these ways of thinking and situations, but working hard to do so might help. Look around. You might be scared of growing up. Well, maybe you’re right. It can be overwhelming. But we all do grow up, get a job, pay taxes, and end up disliking your silly younger self? But my dear friend, there’s a lot more to it.

Facing the Dilemma

facing dilemmas

It is this whole spiral of uncertainty you are in right now will shape you for tomorrow. Perhaps being accountable for your actions and thoughts can help you get through the dilemma. Allowing yourself to experience will only help you get out of it tougher.
As time flies and as you encounter more things, both incredible and awful things, somehow or other, it gets less and less messy.

Remember that you are loved, and remember to never hesitate to open up.
