Top 5 Snapchat Tips and Tricks You Did Not Know About!

Snapchat is full of features many of us may never know. Some of them useless and others game-changing. Here are 5 features you should know about!

At a time, Snapchat was all the world could talk about, with its quirky filters and a new way to communicate with friends; just about everyone was on Snapchat. The hype has died down a lot after all these years, but Snapchat still has its place in 2021. Here are some tips and tricks you may not know about.

1. Dark Mode (IOS)

Snapchat Dark Mode

Unfortunately, this is an IOS-only feature for now, but if you have an IOS device and you love dark mode, you are so going to love how Snapchat looks after this trick. Head over to Snapchat settings by tapping the avatar icon on the left and then tapping the cog wheel symbol on the top right. Once you are in the settings menu, scroll down to App Appearance and click on it.

From here to activate dark mode, select the option that reads Always Dark and the Snapchat interface will change over to its dark side.

2. Math Problems

Snapchat is just not social networking platform but it also helps you with your mathematics assignment as well.

Open the snapchat camera and tap the smiley face icon and then the scan icon at the bottom left.. From there, swipe right till you see a calculator icon and then just scan your question and watch the magic happen.

3. Data Saver

Snapchat can eat away on your mobile data pretty quick, however Snapchat has a data saver embedded in its settings so that you can avoid wasting precious data on snap.

To do this head to the Snapchat settings and scroll down till you see Manage. Once you are in the Manage section, there will be a toggle for turning Data Saver on and off. So whenever you need to save your data and some extra minutes of battery life, you can always turn it on.

4. Ghost Mode

The Snap Map is a way to see where your friends are at any given point in time. This can be a bit uncomfortable if you don’t want people to know where you are at every point in time. This is where Ghost mode comes in, this feature allows you to temporarily or permanently take yourself of Snap Map so that no one is able to see your current location.

Head to your Snapchat settings and scroll down to the Who Can… section. Click on See My Location and then toggle ghost mode on and choose your duration.

5. Save Chats

Have you ever been talking to someone on Snapchat and have to constantly save messages so that you can come back and keep the conversation going or you forget to save a message and then it disappears when you click on the chat the next time.

Snapchat has a feature that allows you to save a chat for 24 hours before it expires. To do this tap and hold down on the username and then click on More and then tap on Delete Chats. From here just select the 24 Hours after Viewing and then your chats will only expire only 24 hours after they have been opened.
