Loki is given a choice; either being wiped from existence for being a ‘time variant‘ or help restore the timeline and stop a greater threat

Episode Review

It’s been a week since the premiere of the first episode of the new Loki and the second episode keeps the hype going for the show with more mischievous antics and of course more Tom Hiddleston screen time.

The episode takes back to 1985 Oshkosh at the Renaissance fair, where a team of minutemen were captured and killed by the other dark “Loki” with his enchanting spells. Loki uses his first mission as way to test his boundaries as to far he can go manipulating the TVA but ultimately agent Mobius is able to catch on and puts a stop to his antics.

After the mission, Loki starts to go through files in an attempt to find out more about the time keepers and ended up finding out about the events of Ragnarok and the destruction it caused. Loki after reading the file realizes something about the timeline and is hellbent on testing out the theory. Agent Mobius after much convincing, agrees to go to Pompeii just before Mt. Vesuvius erupts, and once he proves his theory, he and Mobius figure out that their target must be hiding out inside one of the many brutal climate change-caused storms of the mid-21st century

They make their way to a department store in Alabama in the future along with a team of minutemen in an attempt to catch this hooded ‘Variant’. Inside the department store, Loki comes face to face with himself or the rogue ‘Variant’ or people that they have overtaken and questions what their intentions are. Everything leads up to the hooded variant takes off the hood not to show us the Loki we all know but the fugitive they have been chasing is a female.
